The Department of Theatre inspires students to expand their vision of the world and themselves, preparing them for leadership as practitioners, educators, and artists. The Department of Theatre offers a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre, with concentrations in one of the following areas: Performance; Design/Tech; Directing, Dramaturgy and Dramatic Writing; Applied Theatre; and Theatre Education. The B.A. degree allows the flexibility to pursue a double major. A Minor in Theatre and a Certificate in Musical Theatre are also offered.
This concentration is designed for students who wish to pursue areas of theatrical design and technology (scenic, costume, lighting, sound) design, as well as management (stage and production management) and emerging areas (such as projection and media design).
