Program Overview

Build the business confidence to compete.

You don’t need years of work experience to start preparing for management. You need business fluency, leadership confidence, professional polish and a clear strategy for entering the job market.

UNC Charlotte’s M.S. in Management gives recent graduates that structure. In a 10.5-month, full-time cohort format, you’ll study the core areas of business while building the career-ready skills employers look for in management, operations, analytics, consulting and business support roles.

Whether you studied business, humanities, sciences, engineering, health fields or another discipline, you’ll graduate with more than a credential. You’ll leave with a stronger professional network, a clearer career direction and the preparation to compete for management roles from day one.

PREPARE FOR MANAGEMENT IN A CITY BUILT FOR BUSINESS

The Difference is Charlotte

Charlotte, North Carolina, USA uptown skyline at night.

Charlotte isn’t just where you’ll study. It’s the hiring market you’re preparing to enter.

Management is a generalist degree and Charlotte is a generalist business city. Here, employers hire across financial services, healthcare, consulting, technology, media, energy, retail and professional services.

That matters for M.S. in Management students. Evening classes at The Dubois Center at UNC Charlotte Center City place you in Uptown, close to the employers, alumni and professional networks shaping the region’s economy.

You won’t study management from a distance. You’ll build your career strategy in the market where you can use it.

The M.S. in Management is designed for students entering the job market with ambition, but also with questions: Which roles fit my background? How do I explain my value? How do I turn a graduate degree into a clear next step?

You’ll work with dedicated graduate career development support to build a personalized strategy for your goals. That support includes:

  • Professional development seminars
  • Individual career counseling
  • Resume, LinkedIn and personal branding guidance
  • Career assessments and 360-degree feedback
