Electromechanical Engineering Technology, B.S.E.T.

Program Overview

Electromechanical engineering technology plays a vital role in today’s industries, driven by the growing need for engineers who excel in both electrical and mechanical systems.

The B.S. in Electromechanical Engineering Technology is designed to equip you with the knowledge, skills, and expertise needed to thrive in the dynamic intersection of electrical and mechanical disciplines. You’ll learn skills in the quickly growing fields of robotics, mechatronics, energy, embedded systems, controls, testing, instrumentation and more. You’ll finish the program with a two-semester capstone experience where multidisciplinary teams, consisting of students from all engineering disciplines, design solutions to challenging industry-funded real-world problems.

After graduating from this program, you can expect technical and professional careers in areas such as automation, manufacturing, robotics, electrical power generation transmission and distribution, renewable energy, data acquisition, instrumentation and controls, technical sales and related field engineering with industry leaders such as RoviSys, Schaeffler and Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories.

As an ABET accredited program, this course of study provides students assurance that it meets the quality standards of the profession.
