Electrical Engineering, B.S.E.E.

Program Overview

Electrical engineering addresses societal challenges and economic growth through technological advancements in a wide range of electrical and electronic systems. Electrical engineers play a pivotal role in driving innovations in telecommunications, power distribution, control systems, signal processing, and many others.

The B.S. in Electrical Engineering equips you with fundamental knowledge on electrical signals and systems,  electronics, electromagnetics and power systems. You’ll then delve deeper into specific sub-disciplines such as chip design, robotic control, renewable energy, or machine learning. You’ll finish the program with the capstone course, “senior design project,” where teams design solutions to challenging real-world problems.

After graduating from this program, you’re prepared to pursue careers in areas such as electric vehicles, smart homes, energy and power engineering, alternative energy systems, network engineering, medical technology, consumer electronics, microelectronics, robotic control and more. The demand for electrical engineers is high and growing with projections indicating continued job opportunities.

As an ABET accredited program, this course of study provides students assurance that it meets the quality standards of the profession.
