For more than 30 years, our M.S. in Economics program has been preparing graduates with the skills for success. Already a 49er? Early Entry Option Available

Get a jump start on grad school with our exclusive Early Entry program for outstanding UNC Charlotte undergraduates. Students admitted to the M.S. in Economics Early Entry program will be accepted into the master’s program and can double count twelve of their graduate credits towards the completion of both their undergraduate and graduate degrees.

Accelerated Master's Program

Academically talented high school seniors and UNC Charlotte undergraduate freshmen are encouraged to apply for the Accelerated Master’s Program to begin work toward both undergraduate and graduate degrees in their freshman year.

Economics, M.S. and Economics, M.Sc. Dual Degree

The University of Regensburg (Universität Regensburg) is a public research university located in Regensburg, Bavaria, Germany, a UNESCO World Heritage site on the Danube River.

Charlotte students in this program may earn the M.S. in Economics from UNC Charlotte and a M.Sc. in Economics from the University of Regensburg.

Mathematical Finance, M.S., and Economics, M.S., Dual Degree

UNC Charlotte offers a dual degree program where students can earn both an M.S. in Mathematical Finance and an M.S. in Economics. This program equips students with advanced skills in quantitative finance, risk management, econometrics and economic modeling.

Accreditation

UNC Charlotte was the first university in the Charlotte region to earn accreditation by AACSB International, and has now held that distinction for more than 30 years. UNC Charlotte is also accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award baccalaureate, master’s, and doctoral degrees.
