Business Administration Concentration
Use economics to make better business decisions.
Analyze markets, pricing, and competitive strategy, apply economic theory to finance, risk, and operations, turn data into competitive advantage, and strengthen skills in analytics and business performance.
Ideal for students interested in careers in consulting, finance, operations, business analytics, and corporate strategy.
Liberal Arts Concentration
Understand how policy shapes economies and societies.
Apply economic theory to public policy and social challenges, develop rigorous quantitative and analytical skills, customize 15 credit hours outside of business, and prepare for graduate study or public-sector leadership.
Ideal for students interested in policy analysis, research, law, government, or interdisciplinary social science careers.
Courses
All students complete foundational economics coursework along with concentration-specific classes.
Major (42 Hours)

Admissions & Requirements
The online B.S. in Economics welcomes both first-year and transfer students.
First-Year Admission
Freshman admission is competitive. Students who apply for this major and are accepted into the Belk College of Business are initially classified as Pre-Economics majors.
Transfer Admission
Transfer admission is competitive.
- Minimum 2.7 cumulative transfer GPA
- Students who have attempted any business prerequisite courses may not have a current grade below C
