Select 15 elective credit hours from among any prefix other than ITSC, ITCS, DTSC, or ITIS. The Project Management Undergraduate Certificate is 16 credit hours, and is one option for fulfilling this requirement.
Capstone:
You have the option of choosing a 2-semester or a 1-semester capstone. If you chose a 1-semester capstone, then you’ll need a technical elective course.

This program is open to first-year students.
Please note: Some majors at UNC Charlotte are competitive for admission and require an above-average academic profile, including Business, Nursing, Computer Science, and Engineering. Applicants who are not competitive for admission to a more selective major may still be offered admission to the University as an undeclared student.
Transfer students
The B.A. in Computer Science program requires a 2.5 or higher cumulative GPA and a grade of C or higher in all previously attempted Computer Science courses. Transfers will need 24+ transferrable credit hours to be considered for admissions.
Prior to transferring, students must earn a grade of “C” or better in college-level algebra, equivalent to UNC Charlotte MATH 1100.
