GMAT/GRE Waiver

Applying for a GRE/GMAT waiver is easy! Simply start your Charlotte Master of Accountancy application through Graduate Admissions, and follow five short steps.

All GMAT/GRE waivers are at the discretion of the Master of Accountancy Program. Meeting the minimum requirements to request a waiver does not mean an automatic waiver of the test, nor does it guarantee later acceptance into the program.

  • May 1 – Summer Admission

The application process is managed by the UNC Charlotte Graduate School. Applications will continue to be reviewed on an ongoing basis as space permits. Enrollment is limited, so students are encouraged to apply early.

Tuition + Fees
  • North Carolina residents: ~$24,500
  • Non-residents of North Carolina: ~$46,000

These are estimated figures for the total program cost. For more information, visit Niner Central, the best place to find a breakdown of tuition and fees associated with your graduate education.

Tuition Assistance

The Turner School of Accountancy offers a significant number of program-based funding opportunities:

  • The best opportunity for funding will require admission to the MACC program before the end of February.
  • Once a student is admitted to the program, they should apply for a scholarship using the NinersScholars Portal.
  • Students admitted after February may also be able to apply for scholarships.

The Belk College of Business offers a limited number of program-based funding opportunities:

  • Those who apply before the priority deadline are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships.
  • Those who wish to be considered for graduate assistantships should check the appropriate box in their application indicating their interest and apply before the priority deadline.
  • Please note that funding opportunities are highly competitive, so it is uncommon for programs to offer them to students who apply after the March 1 priority deadline.

Additional on-campus assistantships and other on-campus work may be found in Hire-A-Niner. The Graduate School also maintains a repository of information on funding.

Additional information on financial aid and student loans is available on Niner Central’s website.
