Combine the Power of Public Health and Health Informatics and Analytics

UNC Charlotte’s dual program prepares you to make a positive impact on the health and wellness of people in your community and across the globe. You learn to apply evidence-based principles of public health while also building a strong foundation in data science and analytics. In combination, these skills uniquely position you to support population health. You also bridge data sciences and analytics in support of optimal population health. The program leverages the strength of both the College of Health and Human Services and the School of Data Science.

Master of Public Health, and M.S. in Health Informatics and Analytics, Dual Degree at a Glance

This innovative curriculum allows students to complete both an M.S. in HIA and an MPH in three years, qualifying them to utilize data and technology to tackle complex public and population health issues. Potential students must apply to both programs independently and indicate in their personal statement they are applying for the dual degree program.

Already a 49er? Early Entry Option Available

Exceptional undergraduate students in UNC Charlotte’s Public Health program may apply to the Early Entry Program to begin work toward a Master’s in Public Health graduate degree before completion of the bachelor’s degree.
