Program Overview

The focus of the Operations and Supply Chain Management (OSCM) major is on the development and management of supply chains for the efficient and effective flow of goods and services. As an OCSM major, you will develop skills in areas such as forecasting, quality assurance, process design, logistics, transportation planning and project management, with applications across several different industries.

Students who apply for this major and are accepted into the Belk College of Business are initially classified as Pre-Business (PBUS) majors. Students must have earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5, and a minimum GPA of 2.5 in the Progression Requirements, in order to declare the upper-division major in Management.

The minor in Operations and Supply Chain Management (OSCM) is designed to provide business and non-business students who have an interest in supply chain management, manufacturing, and service operations with a broad foundation of OSCM concepts and analytical methodology.
