Music Performance Minor at a Glance

Students wishing to pursue a Minor in Music Performance must audition and complete a series of placement examinations prior to acceptance as a music minor. Admission to degree programs in the Department of Music, including the minor, requires an entrance audition and is contingent upon acceptance into the University. UNC Charlotte is an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Music.

The Department of Music offers numerous opportunities for all university students to participate in bands, choirs, orchestras, jazz ensembles, and chamber groups.
