Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering Concentration, B.S.M.E.

Program Overview

With a B.S.M.E. concentration in energy engineering, you’ll study at the intersection of engineering with power generation. The program guides youthrough mechanical engineering courses, then provides technical electives including metrology, nuclear engineering, electric vehicles and materials science. By focusing the four technical electives in the area of energy, you’ll learn skills in a variety of related disciplines, including automotive power plants, nuclear engineering, turbomachinery and more.

Students completing the requirements described in this program receive a special designation on their transcripts showing successful completion of the concentration. Graduates from the program are on the path to becoming highly sought-after energy professionals who are more marketable and adaptable to the changing marketplace for engineers.
