The B.S. degree in Mathematics is a program that offers a selection of courses from pure to applied mathematics and statistics. The program is suitable for students who would like to pursue graduate study or for those who desire a strong foundation for math-related careers or research that require analytical and critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Graduates in this degree are set to succeed in a range of careers in research, education, computer and data science, financial analysis, statistical analysis, etc. Students are encouraged to pursue research and internship opportunities. Students have the option to declare a concentration in Actuarial Science or Statistics. Students who would like to add a Teacher Licensure can also add a minor in Secondary Education by their second year.
