UNC Charlotte’s Master of Science in Mathematical Finance (MAFI) program has evolved into the M.S. in Financial Engineering and Fintech.
The MAFI program has long prepared students for analytical careers in finance through rigorous training in mathematical modeling, financial theory and quantitative methods.
The transition to Financial Engineering and Fintech highlights how those same analytical foundations are applied in today’s financial industry — where data science, algorithmic modeling and financial technologies increasingly shape markets and risk management.
You’ll build the technical and analytical skills needed to work at the intersection of finance, data and technology, with applications in AI, machine learning, fintech and quantitative investments. The program combines rigorous coursework with practical, career-focused learning in one of the nation’s leading financial centers.
