International Business, B.S.B.A.

Program Overview

International Business focuses on the management of a business on a global scale. You’ll learn how to apply a global perspective to the fundamental disciplines of business — finance, management, marketing, etc. — for organizations whose business transactions cross national borders. You’ll learn how organizations are impacted by market opportunities, competition, demand for raw materials, labor costs and government regulations.

International Business B.S.B.A. at a Glance

Students who apply for this major and are accepted into the Belk College of Business are initially classified as Pre-Business (PBUS) majors. Students must have earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5, and a minimum GPA of 2.5 in the Progression Requirements, in order to declare the upper-division major in International Business.

International Management, Minor

The Minor in International Management is designed to provide students who have an interest in global business with an opportunity to enhance their knowledge of international management.

Topic areas include the international business environment, including economic trends, politics, and cultural variations and norms; managerial issues, including all functions of a typical multinational enterprise such as organization, production, marketing, human resources, political risk assessment and negotiation; and international finance.
