Program Overview

The Minor in Human-Centered Design at UNC Charlotte provides students with the knowledge and skills in the application of human-centered design methods, including observing how people use a product or services, engaging with users to understand their needs, developing drafts of a product to explore functionality, and testing final products or design. 

Human-Centered Design, Minor at a Glance

This minor offers training in the human-centered design of interfaces for software applications, and offers training designed to equip students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills essential for designing, understanding, and creating effective and user-friendly software applications. Students enrolled in a Computer Science major with a concentration other than Bioinformatics are not eligible to declare this minor.
