The Skill to Lead Dynamic Health Systems

The Master of Health Administration (MHA) program at UNC Charlotte is a professional program in the management and operations of health care organizations, preparing students to lead in the ever-changing and complex health care environment. The program is designed for students who are new to health administration as well as those who are currently working in the industry. Students with various undergraduate degree are accepted into the program.

The competency-based curriculum covers the core health administration domains of leadership, critical thinking, science and analysis, management, and communication by using a theory-to-practice perspective that incorporates projects and assignments in an active learning environment.

Graduates are prepared for careers in health systems, hospitals, medical group practices, nursing homes, home health agencies, outpatient clinics, consulting firms and government agencies among other settings.

Exceptional undergraduate students in UNC Charlotte’s Health Administration program may apply to the Early Entry Program to begin work toward a Master’s in Health Administration graduate degree before completion of the bachelor’s degree.
