The Game Design and Development (GDD) Graduate Certificate provides an opportunity to advance your knowledge of modern game design and development techniques while working with artists and writers to bring your vision for an interactive game or media product to life. Coursework in the certificate program can be used toward the M.S. in Computer Science program. Some of the courses for this certificate program can be completed fully online.

Game Design and Development Graduate Certificate at a Glance

The Game Design and Development graduate certificate provides graduate students with the opportunity to reach a demonstrated level of competence in game design and development. Coursework in the certificate in GDD can be used toward the Master’s degree in Computer Science. However, its primary purpose is to provide a well-defined target for students who want to advance their knowledge of modern game design and development techniques and work with a variety of professionals, from artists to writers, to bring the vision for an interactive game or media product to life.
