Path: Fire and Safety Concentration
Are you interested in working in fire service or in fire protection related occupations? This program teaches skills in fire behavior, active and passive protection systems as well as the foundational principles of research investigation. You will learn about fire dynamics first-hand in the lab, community threat assessment safety law and more as you earn your B.S. degree. By graduation, you will be prepared to pursue increasingly responsible roles in leadership and management related to fire investigation, safety supervision and more.
Path: Occupational Safety Concentration
Are you an engineer at heart with an eye toward health and safety? This program concentrates on the work environment, health risks and government regulations related to safety in the workplace. You will gain skills in environmental health, indoor air quality, radiation surveys, office ergonomics, ventilation methods and more as you earn your B.S. degree. Graduates of this program often pursue professional certifications and earn positions in environmental and occupational health and safety.
