Welcome to the Data Science Ph.D. program, offered by the School of Data Science at UNC Charlotte. The field of data science has evolved dramatically in the past decade, propelled by the latest advances in artificial intelligence and the ever-changing needs for data management and analytics in industry. Keeping pace with these advances requires scholars and practitioners who are rigorously trained and ethically grounded, and who are equipped with the skills needed to work collaboratively across domains to find innovative solutions for society’s toughest challenges.
