Students who complete an eligible technology certificate and capstone can access career development support through UNC Charlotte’s Career Center. Services include up to three individual career coaching appointments, resume and cover letter feedback, LinkedIn profile review, interview preparation and practice, and access to career development resources and employer engagement opportunities. Graduates can also access Hire-A-Niner, the University’s career management platform and job board, for up to six months after completing their certificate. These services are designed to help participants strengthen their job-search skills and career readiness; employment or job placement is not guaranteed.

Data science is the process of examining, cleaning, transforming, and modeling data to uncover insights and support decision-making, often using statistical and computational techniques.
Throughout this data science program, you’ll gain fundamental statistics skills and study topics such as Python programming, various databases, front-end web visualization, and business intelligence software.
