Students in the Human Computer Interaction concentration will learn the methods and technology for designing, developing, and evaluating how people interact with computers and other digital devices. As technology becomes more integrated with everyday activities, the user experience and interface design become critical aspects of the success of technology.

Computer Science, Human-Interaction Concentration, B.A. at a Glance

The Concentration in Human-Computer Interaction emphasizes the design, development, and implementation of interactive systems from a human-centric perspective. This concentration prepares students for a wide variety of jobs or graduate studies. The B.A. in Computer Science program requires a common set of computer science courses, a set of concentration-specific courses, and a group of elective courses in a non-computer science discipline, also satisfied by a second major or a minor. The emphasis in this program is less theoretical/mathematical, and more on the applied side of computing.
