Computer Science, Cybersecurity Concentration, B.S.

Program Overview

Students in the Cybersecurity concentration will learn about information, network, and software security issues and techniques for protecting systems from cyber-attacks. Students will learn the tools and techniques for ensuring privacy and security in software, web, mobile, and cloud systems. UNC Charlotte is designated as an Academic Center of Excellence in Information Assurance Education and Research (CAE/IAE, and CAER) by the National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security.

Computer Science, Cybersecurity, B.S. at a Glance

This concentration is designed to best prepare students to match the diverse requirements of employers. It also prepares students to pursue graduate studies in computing and other related areas. The B.S. in Computer Science program requires a common set of computer science courses, a set of concentration-specific courses, and a group of elective courses in a non-computer science discipline, also satisfied by a second major or a minor.
