Clinical Dental Assistant Program

The UNC Charlotte Clinical Dental Assistant Program offers eligible candidates the opportunity to prepare for a rewarding career in dental healthcare through a comprehensive, career-focused training experience.

Program Overview

This program is delivered by UNC Charlotte in partnership with the North Carolina Community Health Center Association (NCCHCA) and designed to meet the growing workforce needs of community-based dental practices across North Carolina.

If accepted into the program, participants will complete:

  • Online coursework facilitated by UNC Charlotte
  • Structured career preparation support
  • Hands-on clinical training with participating dental employer partners

This blended model ensures learners gain both the foundational knowledge and practical experience needed to step confidently into a Clinical Dental Assistant role.

Program Locations

We are actively recruiting candidates located in or near Asheville, NC or Charlotte, NC. Clinical training placements will take place with employer partners serving these local communities.
