UNC Charlotte’s M.S. in Chemistry program prepares you for diverse careers in the chemical, pharmaceutical, textile, food and power industries. This degree also serves as a stepping stone toward professions in medicine, pharmacy, industrial hygiene, patent law, or advanced studies in chemistry, physics, biology, and other scientific and engineering fields.

The M.S. degree requires a minimum of 30 credit hours and a thesis based on original research carried out under the direction of a member of the graduate faculty. Classwork can be completed in the first semester!
