Program Overview

With a minor in biotechnology at UNC Charlotte’s Klein College of Science, you will learn core scientific principles involved in harnessing biological systems and organisms to perform specific tasks or produce valuable substances. Our expert faculty will guide you through the lessons integrating engineering and natural sciences in this fascinating academic field.

The Biotechnology Minor Program is designed for all majors. Students must meet GPA requirements in their major to participate in the program and obtain the Minor. Ideally, interested students would declare the Minor during their Junior year. Interested Seniors that are Biology or Chemistry majors should contact the BMP Program Head to determine eligibility for declaring the Minor.
