Program Overview

The bioinformatics field is expected to grow at a compound annual rate of over 13% between now and 2030 because of its unprecedented contribution to understanding biological patterns and processes. The Bioinformatics Technology Graduate Certificate teaches the application of bioinformatics methods for analysis of biological sequence, structure, and genomic data to equip you to take on the big challenges in genomic biology. The certificate may be pursued concurrently with a related graduate degree program at UNC Charlotte.
