No prior AI experience required. This course begins with the AI essentials that provide a foundation for AI literacy and confidence to complete the rest of the course.

Curriculum
Module 1: Apply AI in HR Strategically
- Explain what Generative AI is and describe how it’s already reshaping HR work.
- Write high-quality AI prompts by clearly setting role, context, examples, constraints, and success criteria.
- Use process mapping to break an HR role down into tasks, identifying opportunities where AI can enhance HR workflows.
- Evaluate opportunities for AI use aligned with business objectives and measurable outcomes.
Playbook Assignment: Map 3 different opportunities to integrate AI into your work.
Module 2: Make Quality HR Content, Faster with AI
- Identify content-generation opportunities across HR workflows.
- Create HR assets with LLMs by utilizing structured prompting, personalization, and human review, incorporating bias and fairness checks.
- Turn quality outputs into reusable workspace templates.
Playbook Assignment: Create a trio of HR content assets with prompts + quality checks.
Module 3: Build an AI Assistant for HR
- Identify and prioritize opportunities to scale HR expertise with AI assistants, including custom GPTs, voicebots, and chatbots.
- Design an AI assistant with specific goals, connecting vetted knowledge, setting guardrails, and configuring human escalation points.
- Use a framework to evaluate and improve the AI assistant across quality, bias, safety, and user satisfaction standards.
Playbook Assignment: Build a working AI assistant with clear instructions, comprehensive knowledge,
effective guardrails, and a robust evaluation script.
Module 4: Showcase HR’s Impact with Data + AI
- Use AI to prepare data for analysis and identify trends across performance and engagement.
- Use effective prompting to analyze HR datasets to produce accurate insights.
- Build clear visuals that connect people data to trends, drivers, and recommended actions.
- Tell a compelling data story by tailoring insights, tone, and recommendations to stakeholder goals and sentiment.
Playbook Assignment: Create a data insights narrative set (with analysis steps, 1–2 visuals/tables, and 1‑page executive memo).
Module 5: Automate Manual HR Tasks with AI
- Map a manual HR process into steps, choose a trigger, and define actions and handoffs.
- Build an automated workflow in Zapier from a template, connecting two or three tools.
- Ensure workflow accuracy with human-in-the-loop checkpoints, routing exceptions, and escalations when needed.
- Monitor and document the automation with simple logs and metrics, and iterate to improve reliability.
Playbook Assignment: Design a workflow automation with a process map, configuration
screenshots, test evidence, and a simple runbook.
Delivery and Schedule
Fully online, on-demand learning with weekly 2-hour live/online interactive group sessions led by mentors with subject matter expertise. Ziplines Education uses Canvas as the learning management system (LMS).

Technical Requirements
- A computer to access the LMS, live/online sessions, and Slack workspace
- A microphone (built-in, headphones, or headset)
- A webcam (built-in or USB plug-in) (optional but recommended)
- Internet connection (broadband wired or wireless; 3G, 4G, or 5G/LTE)
- ChatGPT Plus is required to complete the course and will be provided to learners at no additional cost for the duration of the course.
- The free version of Miro will be required to complete the course.
- The free version of Zapier will be required to complete the course.
Assessment
A certificate of completion will be issued when learners:
- Achieve at least 70% on the module assessments
- Complete all of the playbook assignments
Hours and Articulation
Each of the five modules requires 10 hours, which includes on-demand learning, a 2-hour live session, and playbook assignment completion.
