As an interdisciplinary department that remains unique in UNC Charlotte’s College of Humanities & Earth and Social Sciences, Africana Studies faculty bring expertise in anthropology, culture, health and the environment, history, law, literature, philosophy, political science, and sociology for students who seek to learn about Africana Studies while maintaining a separate academic major.
