Program Overview

For more than 50 years, the Department of Africana Studies at University of North Carolina at Charlotte has offered an interdisciplinary and transnational curriculum that remains unique in the College of Humanities & Earth and Social Sciences. As an institutional member of the National Council for Black Studies, we offer concentrations in Health and Environment, Popular Culture and Digital Media, as well as Human Rights and Law.
